Flint still paying the price

Flint resident Jassmine McBride [seated] contracted Legionnaires’ disease in 2014. It is a severe form of pneumonia caused by bacteria-infected mist, probably linked to the mismanaged water supply. She’s been on oxygen and dialysis ever since. “I’m not a hateful person. I was raised to turn it over to God’s hand,” she says. But, “You still smell the water. It’s still affecting people. … You can’t brush your teeth. You have to bathe in bottled water. They don’t care because they know they can get away with it.”
