On October 2 there was a rally and march in Detroit. The message from the speakers was crystal clear. What is happening in Michigan is just a precursor to what is planned for the rest of the country. Union leaders, community activists and concerned residents listened to speakers explain about selling off Belle Isle, privatizing all of the services in the city, including trash pick up, transportation, lighting and slashing pensions. On top of all else, is the sale of the City of Detroit Water Department.
