Raelynn Butcher and others from the Marysville Homeless Union, a chapter of the California Homeless Union, and part of the Poor People’s Campaign, visit a homeless encampment in Chico, California to provide for those made homeless by the devastating Camp Fire. A local Poor People’s Campaign organizer says, “We didn’t have enough places for people to stay before the fire happened. So now we have this huge influx of elderly, poor sick folks who need a place to stay … people could die. This is about life and death.”
