Trump stop work orders. Illustration by Nanzi Muro

Barely in the third week of President Trump’s new administration, many of his backers and constituents are dissatisfied with his administration’s choices. The cost of essential goods have escalated, thousands of federal workers have been fired, and most importantly, we must remember how hate and division have surged in less than a month.

President Lincoln stated in his address at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on November 19, 1863, “Under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Many of us forget this when we select a president: We, the People, are electing someone to ensure they prioritize the benefits of our community rather than their gain and agenda. This is where we need to look back and remind this new administration that they are here for us and are obligated to run things with the people’s input.

We aim to partner with our readers and communities to build connections and provide tools for empowerment. Let’s unite our efforts and raise our voices against mass deportation, hatred, discrimination, and division. Your contributions matter, so if you believe this platform can benefit you and help your community, please don’t hesitate to contact us and share how we can assist in amplifying and spreading information to foster greater awareness and unity.

Through the power of art, our fight will translate, and our message will be spread. We need stories filled with vulnerability, photographs that speak for themselves, and artwork that inspires us to go out and participate in this movement for freedom, justice, and love for all.

Community and collaboration are the most effective ways to resist and remain authentic. Therefore, we are reminding you that this platform is available for you.

We are pleased to welcome you as a member of our community: whether you are a sister, brother, grandmother, activist, scholar, or student, please feel free to utilize this platform and report anything that can assist our readers and community in staying informed. It is time to mobilize, organize, and participate in the ongoing struggle.

The Tribuno del Pueblo and the People’s Tribune are here for you!
