“Could We Eat Our Way to World Peace?”

Latest

The following are excerpts from a longer poem
We are all hungry for peace
Hungry for the sword
Not to cut us apart
Not to cut into our feast
Stay hungry my friends
Because the problem with the world
Is not
That we do not all hunger for peace
Or that there isn’t enough
To go around
But that most of us
Were never meant
To have any upon our plates
So, here’s a message to you
That’s our food!
We don’t want just a piece of the pie
We want the whole enchilada!
That’s our food
You drooling gluttons
Fork it over!
— David A. Romero
