Change fills the lake
[sp]But there are no wishes
[sp][sp]Left here.
The whirlpool swallows
[sp]Benton Harbor democracy.
There are no wishes
[sp]Left here.
The youth here drink prison
[sp]Instead of opportunity,
But that’s the new way
[sp]America rides.
Michigan morphs into desert
[sp]While her little ones
[sp][sp]Drink the plasma
[sp]From cracked hands.
