Voter suppression: 92 year old blocked from voting

Latest

Denying African Americans the right to vote is one of their old tricks to drive back the resistance. Here’s an example from the recent mid-term election in Georgia.
“I’ve been voting all my life, ever since I was old enough,” said Christine Jordan, age 92. “I’ve been voting right here. Since 1968.” Granddaughter Jessica Jordan said, “She’s been in this community back when they were doing sit-ins. She had civil rights meetings in her home. And today to come out and not be able to vote and no one can give you an explanation. It is extremely emotional and it bothers me to my core. There is actually no record of her voting in any election. Its ridiculous.”
