Lore Bergman is running for the United States Congress in the 6th District of Tennessee, with a message that feels both simple and deeply personal: “Love thy neighbor.” At the heart of her campaign is a belief that the government should care for people, especially those who are struggling, and work to build a community where everyone has a fair chance to succeed. For Bergman, these ideas aren’t abstract. She has lived through many of the challenges her campaign seeks to address, which is why these issues are so close to her heart and central to her mission.

Bergman speaks directly to everyday concerns, such as affording healthcare, paying the bills, and finding safe, stable housing, because she understands how real and pressing those challenges can be. She supports expanding programs that help those in need, lowering costs, and ensuring that the wealthiest pay their fair share. Her focus on “healthcare not warfare” reflects her belief that people’s well-being should always come first.

She is also a strong advocate for workers, pushing for fair wages and protections that value people over profit. Her commitment to equality is clear in her support for women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and minority communities, along with her belief in humane and lawful immigration policies. Bergman emphasizes dignity, inclusion, and respect for all people.

Beyond economic and social issues, she champions protecting the environment, supporting public education, and trusting science to guide decisions. She also stresses the importance of keeping church and state separate and promoting responsible gun ownership.

More than anything, Bergman’s campaign is about standing up for democracy and ensuring that every voice matters. With a focus on fairness, compassion, and lived experience, she presents herself as someone who truly understands the struggles people face—and is committed to building a future that works for everyone, not just a privileged few.
