Preamble
No one should go unhomed.
There is plenty.
If we work toward balance,
There is enough.
Balance does not occur without struggle.
If you were ever a child who balanced on a log,
or a street curb, you know balance is struggle.
But as you struggle,
You get better at the balance.
We as humans,
You think we’d be better at the balance by now.
Mitakuyeoasin is the benediction
my husband uses in prayer.
It means
To all my relatives.
It acknowledges that we are all connected.
We are all connected.
We are all struggling for balance
And we all just need enough.
