“There are very few things that bring us all together, and data centers are one of them. It doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you are on; you know large-scale data centers that use ungodly amounts of water and energy are not good for the people or the planet.”

It is reported by Water For All that almost half of the US data centers that were supposed to open this year have been canceled or delayed! In Jefferson County, Missouri, the people in Festus voted out every single incumbent council member for going along with a $6 billion data center plan. In Michigan, the Howell Data Center Project has been canceled because of public opposition. A proposed data center project in Lansing was canceled by the township, and the widely resisted data center project in Saline has been canceled.
all costs. We cannot allow big tech companies to use trillions of gallons of water.

The US military and homeland security are adopting an “AI First” approach to intelligence analysis, surveillance, and targeting. The more they build, the more they can surveil us and target trans people, black and brown people, activists, and organizers. Not to mention the huge amount of farmland they take up and pollute. We have never needed AI, but we can’t live without food and water.
We want food, water, and clean air. We want art and music from people with lived experiences. We stand united against billionaire tech bros that want to use up every last drop of water on the planet.
