ICE does not have general law enforcement authority over the public argues the author. They are not supposed to engage resident citizens under any circumstances. There job is not criminal policing.
Ordinary citizens who have never participated in a protest or voiced political opinions online have suddenly changed their minds. Why? They cannot idle and stand by and watch injustice.
