The stories below are from the nationwide battle for clean and affordable water. These fights, all of which are butting up against corporate power, did not begin with Trump—but are escalating rapidly under Trump as all that is public is being dismantled in favor of naked corporate rule. A powerful movement is galvanizing to exert power over the corporations. Either the corporations take over society or the people take over the corporations. The first step is the demand that the government protect and guarantee our public water rights. Send your story to peoplestribune.org
Great Lakes groups band together to challenge Nestlé and the water crises
On the water crisis; California is also faced with a lot of fracking which pollutes clean water. Climate warming activist, governor, Jerry Brown just showed his true colors when he recently said he would “put fracker protesters in the ground” for protesting because he plans on letting fracking corporations do their dirty work in California. He says he doesn’t want to tax corporations because then they would not bring jobs to California. Same old dried up excuse. Anti fracking activists say big oil corporations taking advantage of Brown’s position to drill more in California. We have to fight for a cooperative society where the wealth is distributed to people that need the wealth, resources, etc.
